Use the convenient chart and information below to measure your dog for their new collar or jacket. It's easy to do and we'll be happy to keep your pet's information in our files. Just complete our Pet Registry and you can either fax or email the page to us. You will then have everything you need when you want to get the right size for your pet.
Collar Size for Cats and Dogs
For cats, the common break-away cat collars will fit most cats. Some collars have metal buckles and are not break-away buckles. Both of these collar sizes adjust from 7" to 11".
For dogs, the best way to determine which size to order is to measure the circumference of the dog's neck.
Harness and Jacket Measurements
Correctly fitting your dog requires two measurements:
(1) Length of your dog from its collar to base of its tail.
(2) Distance around the girth from just behind the front legs. Use the chart to find the right size. Dog must be standing square as shown in order to get proper measurement.
Please keep in mind that the girth measurement is the most important for a proper fit. If you get an odd number for a measurement, we suggest that you round up to the next even numbered size if your dog is big boned (or a little thick) and round down to the next even numbered size if your dog is slimmer. Most dogs can be fitted using this sizing method.
Note: Allow 1/4" to 1/2" variance on measurements.
